Was great to see Canada take the gold in such fashion. Great game.
I grew up playing competitive hockey in the NE US, and I think all of us secretly wanted to be able to wear and fly the maple leaf.

It was a great game for the NHL. Lots of Red Wings coaching the Canadian Team so I figured they'd win. Really exciting game between two excellent and well matched teams.
BTW where is Canada?

It's funny, but after the "Bush-era", or should I say "Bush-saga" Americans I meet seem embarrassed when they present themselves. It's like they're apologizing for being from the US. Just like the guy who was interviewed on TV after Baby Bush "won" the election: "I'm sorry world, we're not like this..."
Where as Canadians are prouder than ever. No wonder. And after all; Canada will always be on top of America (Alaska doesn't count. Not even to Americans I think...).

Nympher, you'll not have to worry about me being embarrassed about my country upon meeting me.
Congratulations to Canada for a well played game. Syd the Kid ought to end up in the Hockey Hall of Fame rather quickly. Gretzky is getting a run for his money. Rich
