Hi
...and another is gone....or maybe NOT!!!
On my Barrio GT140, at 74-76 feet mark some of the coating is off.
74-76' it is still part of the rear taper of the 88' head.
If I cut the broken part, and then connect it to the good part, which might be only the last foot of the taper,am I going to ruun the line, I mean its performance as a Long 88' head line? Does it going to unrol and behave differently in the air?
Have you ever done such a thing.
p.s1
first I thought- whatever you have nothing to lose, just cut it and we'll see.
p.s2
first ask I thought, you have nothing to lose either

cheers

Mike, don't bother fixing it: you need to carry more line!
... you won't care what's happening at 74'!

Hi Mike

You won't ruin it, and it wil still unroll and behave as a long head flyline.

Yup have done such things, more than I care to think about  :D

If you want to improve the lines distance ability, add a thinner runningline  ;)

Cheers
Lasse

A 75 feet shootinghead  ;)

The only difference would be thinner runningline, if that makes it more of a shootinghead than when it's normal, then so be it. They have to be cast the same way anyway so no difference there

Cheers
