I may get to go to Cabo in early Feb '07, and was wondering what the salt fishing is like? Species to target? Rod & reel sizes? How many different outfits? Flies? Guides/Oufitters to contact?
Never been, and am starting to really look forward to it. mpp
-------------- At what elevation do deer become elk? Well, that depends on what side of the continental divide you're on.
What's water polo? It's like polo, but in the water. On sea horses?

mpukas, there's heaps of info on the internet about Cabo. Have you looked at http://www.loscabosguide.com/fishing/index.html or http://www.allaboutcabo.com/sportfishing.html
For flyfishing, these guys are meant to be very good: http://www.baja-anglers.com/ although they're pretty pricey. A good panga skipper should be all you need to get some good fishing though!
From what I've read and gleaned from talking to people, Cabo is very touristy and 'Americanised'. Guess in Feb you'd be looking at targetting stripies, YFT and dorado offshore...
