Nice fly Roy, I have a couple of buzzers that use CDC at the eye but never tried to complete the pupae at both ends with CDC.

P-A, send your friends my congratulations on their clever fly design. :D
Were they using very curved hooks?
It took me a whole evening to work that one out !
How well does it work in your experience?
Do the trout take it in preference to all other types of fly?
- oh and...
tell me, what did the Swedish ducks have before cdc came to Sweden? a paint brush?   :D

Zoran, these are not too easy, tie some up & let us know how they work :)

Cheers,
Roy

Sweet fly, Scottrods.

I - of course - wish to sink the tippet.... here's a mayfly tie..

so I tie it to ensure same. Degrease and go.

Roy;

RE: the reverse parachute style of tying.  Is this design about better imitation of the emerging fly, without the distraction of a hook point?    The images on the opening post are staggering.

Have you posted tying instructions anywhere, would like to read up?

Cheers,
Andy

Hi, Andy,
as I had omitted the instructions, I have now linked the reversed parachute thread http://www.sexyloops.co.uk/cgi-bin....18;st=0
to tying instructions for same.

The RevPara is designed to sink the tippet and to present the impression of the ecloding insect with the body below the surface and the ecloding mess above it.
It has excellent hook-up properties and is easy to tie in any size.
It makes a good emerging midge on a #32 and on a 9/0 it can imitate stunned baitfish, tho, I'd not worry too much about the tippet for that one, more worried about the harness holding me in the chair
:D
cool hey
:)
