Flylines for pike?
I use the barstool Sniper lines in 10weights, they do a full floater although you will need a deep spool to get it on as the head is short@29ft but very bulky in order to float. They must be well over the 10 weight AFTMA ratings but they carry large (10 inch+) streamers easily and are 120 feet long.

Fullers Earth Powder
I don't know if this is still the case but a few years back I was told fullers earth was the main ingredient in Aldi's cat litter. I got some and the ingredients list confirmed it to be so. It was about £2.99 for 7kgs :p .It was a little coarser than some you can buy but I just use a mortar to break...

ST27 running line
I've been using Suffix Supple Link which is available in clear, black or neon orange!. It's available in .35 diameter but I'm not sure how accurate this info is. I like it because any coiling can be stretched out of it by hand.

Powell Timax?
The Powell fly rod company were subjected to a hostile take over in the mid 90s. A few years earlier they had joined forces with a company headed by a guy named Schwab and they were a marketing company. The idea pitched by Mr Schwab was he would take care of the marketing so that the Powell family c...

Line management tools.
I was searching the interweb for a suitable stripping basket as this winter I intend to start fishing for pike on the fly. My search also found a gadget named the "Stripper Clip", and after looking at a demo video thought this may be the way to go as I don't like the idea of a cumbersome l...
