Re: polyurethane line cleaning

I need to get up to date on fly fishing gossip to understand why this is underlyingly funny :O maybe I will do a post on sexyloops gossip to fulfill my curiosity :D :D :D Paul (understandably) has a long-standing grudge against barstool from many years ago. The use of fire to clean their lines make...

It stays in the outbox until the recipient reads it. You’ll need to just be patient and hope they see it. ( Give em a prod)

Re: Low Stretch cores, are they another marketing scam?

I think there is a small difference in casting at long carry lengths, but the real difference for me is in setting the hook on long line lengths (saltwater).

Re: fly rod resonation

Hi Vincente,

That idea came from this thread by Berlin many years ago:

viewtopic.php?t=2149#p34082

He was tuning the resonance of his rods with a system that allowed fine tuning. Mine is permanent but I'm quite happy with the result.

Re: Reel seats and gravity

I don’t fish the DHD yet, although I have one to be built. My question is are there other considerations as in where to put the weight of the reel for best performance? There is. If you can find it, look back at the stuff Berlin was posting. He made a grip that allowed him to tune the location of t...

Re: Reel seats and gravity

I just fished a while week with a DH rod with down lock reel seat. The rings needed tightening 2-3 times every day 😎. There are a lot of circular rotations of the rod when making spey casts. They tend to loosen the ferrules of my rods quickly on the same rods that otherwise stay well connected when...

A tailing trailing bottle nose dolphin loop. Very rare to see one in the wild.

Re: Reel seats and gravity

Nah, he's off the mark there. Next he'll be advocating left threaded bolts on the right hand wheels of the car because braking hard undoes the nuts on that side due to angular inertia ... ;)

Re: How to cast a pointed loop?

Cast a side loop and only show people a view from the side. Simples.
