Imprinting positions.

Hi folks, Here is something I’ve been doing a lot of recently that has been working very well for me, particularly with hauling, but also can be rod position, or in fact both combined and even body position. For example: student caster is not fully extending his haul, or is struggling to get to the ...

Re: What the fluff?

So it doesn’t say and is open to intermediation. Nice that they have clarified that you can bring your own flies. The ones supplied were not palmered but instead only hackled at the front (as dries) with short clipped tails. They didn’t hover well and having well tied comp flies will definitely help...

Re: What the fluff?

Hi John,

Is that 2cm tied in the middle or 2cm long? Site isn’t currently loading for me.

Re: What the fluff?

Hi Gary, For the distance casting that I do there is no fly, only a piece of yarn. I don’t believe there is a minimum size but it’s recommended that you use large enough so that the judges can quickly find it. I don’t believe a weighted fly would help at all, under most circumstances. Usually I just...

Re: What the fluff?

In fact, it seemed that the fluff had been acting as some sort of stabilizer. I agree. In fact it can help stabilise the end of the flyline too. I always use a fly for accuracy training and fluff for distance training. Train as you play. Very good advice. I learned this the hard way :D Cheers, Paul

Re: What the fluff?

I often cast without it. Especially over grass with. Distance and carry. But everything else I like it because it gives accuracy. In comp it’s best they can easily see it otherwise you waste time while they try to find it! With heavier lines I prefer larger fluff (or a casting fly) for sure! Cheers,...

Re: polyurethane line cleaning

I think just the usual way (hand soap and luke warm water), Vicente, and if you can get hold of silicone oil 10cSt then I would treat it with this. I was send some polyurethane lines from a different manufacturer some years ago to try here in the jungle, but they didn’t shoot. Even with the silicone...
