ST27g again

When it's windy, go closer to 0.35 mm and when there is no wind rise diameter. I have tried 0.5 and even 0.55.
This year in Tallin Indoor I used 0.40, because it was the softest what I have and almost no memory in cold conditions.

ST27g again

@Michal 2 questions Dimitri 1) was it really blowing strong from the back, or was it a moderate steady tailwind. 2) back to the subject, do you change your heads according to the conditions?( what if conditions change on the platform?), or you have your favorite lenght you practice with and compeat ...

ST27g again

Hi Michal With shootinghead you need a good tailing wind :) Last year in Sweden we had very difficult conditions, but still you had some possibilities to cast with havy tailing wind. And ladies record in ST27 is 48.61 m ;) You can check the results. http://www.casting.se/globalassets/svenska-casting...

15 and 18ft Spey

There is very interesting rod from Russia *Kola salmon Valkyrie 18' #12* Sergey and Alex casted this rod during WC in Estonia. One our team member bought this rod and now we can make some tests with it. I was using 1 generation CND BiasVersa. I agree with Sakke, the spey rod should have stiff tip an...

World championships in fly casting

Hi all! I have casted with Paul's rod where the sections of the rod were twisted and guides were on the side. I turned them back :) I prefer to cast when guides are straight. The rod blanks have spine and I think, when you turn sections of the rod, you are also twisting the spine of a rod. If the ro...

World championships in fly casting

Paul a week would be too much :p 2-3 days maybe. If you are interested in catching small brown trouts and walk a lot, we can go to several X rivers. :ninja:
