I use RIO Powerflex Trout leaders: 3-pack, knotless tapered 7.5 or 9', 1x or 2x. Change out tippet when needed. Hot pink yarn for fly.

Ok, so the drawings depict back loops - given the reel's aspect. Based on that perhaps C happens during a fck'd up Snap... ? But that is guess work.

Day 2 here in central NY, USA. 41ºf partly sunny. For a winter's day, not bad - certainly a day to cast a bit.

I'm with Boisker... and perhaps even more, hating the description: hard / abrupt stop. I much prefer: crisp stop.

At times I have asked students that are too forceful to 'hide the stop'.

It might be one for the physics forum but I think we can generate higher line speed through rotation only rather than rotation plus translation post MCL. But it might have to do with the ‘Self Deceleration Mechanism’ that two people understand. Or indeed how the body functions - fast joints! I do b...
