snake rod guides wear

Sage are now fitting heavier wire guides to their fast rods, Methods do not have the same thin wire guides on them as the TCR did. Not sure if this would make much difference to wear rate, only thing I can think is that friction is over a larger area so they should may not wear as quick although the...

Dr Frank, You've been away for a while, surely you must have found something else to obsess about in that time? Translation is important for several reasons and for me they are as follows, relating solely to distance: To re position (or creep in your terms) the rod from where it ended up at the end ...

Carrots & bananas are fine Mark, try Tesco. Don't know where you would get Mooli in UK at this time of year, too early for them. I'd suggest trying Valvona & Crolla or other Italian deli for the courgette, think that is out of season too. Can you not use bread or jumbo sausage rolls? That's ...

Spey Casting Comp at Sportfish Reading

Problem is mate, most of us are either instructors or are in some way associated with the trade. Those that aren't are not (or should not be) "B100" level for competition. If it was open to anyone or if there was an open class then I would have come down for it seeing as how some plank has...

Topic no2 was a surprise entry for TZ by the way :) I use the CDC from a hares foot ... it floats even after having caught a fish or two ;-) - However, the tequniue for tying is very similar. I'll look forward to that, T.Z, I HATE that material. A friend of mine keeps giving me rabbit feet and tell...

Neoprene waders.

Not had any issue with Orvis Guide waders with welded seams, two seasons out of them now and still going strong. Return rate was very low from what I remember.

Wouldn't use neoprene unless I wanted to diet.

Cheers

Neoprene waders.

Paul,

Try Glasgow Angling Centre or call Orvis in Banchory, they may have some Vision Subzero 5mm left in stock. XL should fit you.

Pay as you go UK

Me too, very expensive, poor coverage and constant spam from them. EE was costing me about £25.00 a month on PAYG and I was limited to when I could use it.

Cheers

Pay as you go UK

I just changed from EE to GiffGaff, have a spare SIM if you want it Paul. Paying £12 a month for 500 any time any number minute unlimited texts and 3gb data I think. Recurring on card or simply buy package when you need it, no contract.

Cheers

Ben
