Cheap DT fly line

I tried e-bay £5.99 lines last year and they cracked up pretty quickly so I had to replace them often. They worked out about the same price overall as a Barrio line except the Barrio line casts better and is lasting longer. And that's at my level of ability.

My roll cast is rubbish

What am I doing wrong? I’ve finally got permission to practise on the lake but it’s not going well. I’m just not getting any kind of loop formed. By the time about 30’ of line has unfolded the leader, if it emerges from the watercat all, just dies.

Knot again?

Daiichi 1100 hooks have an oversized eye to make threading easier.

While practicing on the local playing field I've repeatedly been told I won't catch any fish there. And you know what - I haven't! Imagine my surprise!!!

I'm obviously doing it wrong. It appears you go fishing *with* worms and not *for* worms.

Who knew?
