Re: GSP core of Monic lines

Thanks for the measurement Lasse. I can imagine it tangles in you stripping basket :D In simple terms you've got a three part composite that needs balancing to give to overall density; core, PVC (or PU) and GMB. If you apply the exact same coating to different cores (i.e. the same PVC/GMB mix and th...

A thinner core may allow them to make thinner lines, with their particular polymer, but that does not necessarily mean their lines are thinner than competitors.
Thanks for the input

Re: GSP core of Monic lines

Thanks a lot for the info guys. Yes, James. I agree with the theoretical absolute value of minimal 1.3mm. I recall we have discussed about this a few years back while in Jersey when talked about a brand that now claims orange pigment is poor for energy transfer. What I'm curious about is the relativ...

GSP core of Monic lines

Hi guys,

I'm very curious about the GSP core of Monic fly lines. As it claims to be a thinner core thus contributes to a smaller diameter fly lines overall. I haven't got hands on one though, anyone knows the diameter difference and the line stiffness?

Cheers
TC

Re: The Launch, open/closed

If only consider the launch movement then I’m with King Bart that open stance feels much better for me. The explosiveness comes from bottom up whereas with close stance I feel like my legs are passively trying to catch up with upper body. I also have a better haul and power application with open sta...

Re: BFCC results

Great to cast with you after a longggg time. I watched Lasse's #5 entry that looks like he would beat us if he were there.
Bart seemed a bit anxious about his record being broken :D , let's do it at the next meeting :pirate:

Cheers

Re: Current distance stroke

Hi Nick, One thing I've learned from Bart and Bernt is the reposition after BC. I remember once at a BFCC meeting where Bart was holding my hand trying to teach me late rotation on the FC(I rotated too early back then). I didn't quite get it at the time but later when I added reposition and started ...

Re: PUALD Challenge

Paul, any updates regarding the rod repairing?
I have been using a 11wt for the PULD recently and it went further than HT10. Not sure if it's because of technique improvements or change in rod stiffness. I'm very interested to find out what I can do when switch back to HT10
