Re: The stop revisited.
Also there is no rotation in this model, only linear movement along a singe axis.

Re: The stop revisited.
Maybe someone will enjoy playing with the parameters and see what happens Grunde, What would happen to the tip speed if you increased the deceleration magnitude in that model by a factor of 4 while reducing its time extent by 4 so the butt rotation is brought to a harder stop? Gordy You should be a...

Re: The stop revisited.
Thanks for mentioning the old apper by Jason and me. For those who have not seen it, it’s available here: https://www.sexyloops.com/articles/rodcast.shtml (probably also in pdf on Jason’s site) From time to time there are mentions and graphs posted her on SL from models based on forced simple harmon...

Re: The stop revisited.
Whilst I agree that perspective can distort measurements, it’s possible to observe the “load” (curvature) move up the blank whatever perspective of the video https://youtu.be/Z67OOXkOJPk Absolutly Vince! Using Mathias' cast as data for a paper on rodbends funtion would be so much better than using ...

Re: The stop revisited.
The "nature" of the stop (active or inactive) depends on the characteristics of the tackle. The study of SDM (self deceleration mechanism) shows that a short line requires an active stop whilst a long line can be cast "stopless". It seems to fit experience apparently Merlin Hi, ...

Re: Single handed distance roll casting
I thought about dragging Ulrik in for a CE workshop, he did a great one for the Swedish Casting federation If he does, please make sure it’s video recorded and shared! Also, Mathias Lilleheim (and the Norwegian casting association) is making a video for casting coaches which I think will be great (...
