Re: Which taper - What line?

Interesting subject. I think a lot of it comes down to personal taste. Personally I am a huge fan of the long head SA lines. (Expert Distance, Amplitude trout). The long rear taper promotes loop stability when aerializing a long line. The compound belly should promote a positive turnover at long ran...

Re: Closed stance (accuracy) - big back loop

Thanks for the explanation Paul.
This gives me something to work with.

Closed stance (accuracy) - big back loop

If I ask someone to try to cast closed stance (accuracy style), almost always they have a big back loop.
How would you fix this?

Re: Essential Level Challenge Competition

Oh, and like the idea you suggest on today's front page.
Make it a competition. That would perfectly suit our competition setup and makes the above question redundant.

Re: Essential Level Challenge Competition

Paul. I am thinking about doing the essential level at one of our Fly Casting Sport NL meetings. However, I am still not sure how it is meant to be done. Are we just examining each other while drinking a beer? And then afterwards we shake hands to the ones that were able to do it? Is there some kind...
