I always have haul lockup when casting snakes aligned.

If it comes to teaching I think trying to learn 2 will end up with the caster doing 3.
I never tried to teach 3. I can imagine strange things will happen.

Interesting topic. There is a video on YouTube, of Steve Rajeff, about Distance casting. He mentions he rotates throughout the stroke and that late rotation promotes tailing loops.
