Re: Focus Points

The nice thing about doing one Lasse and not four all at once - for me anyway - is that I look forward to the change. But I do the same thing in fishing, so it might be more of a personal thing  Goodnight chaps! Cheers, Paul Oh, I also do one at at time, I just like to combine them now and ag...

Re: Focus Points

That's a pretty tidy desk though ;)

Re: Focus Points

If it indeed added what they say it does, wouldn't every bloody competition caster be all over it? Thing was, I asked, and they said it didn't adhere to me, as I was a "good caster".... :D I once overheard one of the ambassadors sell the rod with: You might not cast further, but you'll cast the same...

Re: Focus Points

While I agree that we don't need the equations to cast, without it being quantifiable, you end up with remarks like you'll get 10-20% longer casts by using a rod that has a hollow handle so the blank can bend the last 20 cm's freely... Yes that was a honest prediction by a brand ambassador to a frie...

Re: The practical side of considering loops as waves: Teaching and Self Improvement

I'm intriqued that the loop should fail, so look forward to your clip! Ages ago we had a similar debate here, and I tried just dropping the rod during the stroke, the only time it didnt unfurl was when there clearly hadn't been a large enough acceleration of the line to begin with :) Cheers Lasse T...
