How vertical?
Hi Paul I know them, and I know they have been rewritten several times, doesn't take away that they still hold true even in a flopped distance cast... As I've said before, the straight tip path is the holy grail we strive for, but will never achieve, a rod just doesn't bend like that! We seek to acc...

Matching the casting arc to rod bend is a violated essential in distance comp. it's certainly not what I think about in the 170! I disagree on the lesser importance of being vertical, I just think it's very difficult to do. When the tip slices in during CF this creates a wave in fly leg in the hori...

Where most people stop the rod we power through. If I can get my lawnmower working tomorrow I'll make a small video to show you wh...

15 and 18ft Spey
To start of, get two rods and one line, the gaelforce extreme distance head, a spool of varivas 30 pound shootingline and get to practice :D You might also want to get a big reel to hold the line, knowing you it would make life easier :p I'm not going to recommend getting lessons from some of the bi...

Sea Trout in Northern Europe - help...
There is good fishing for searun brown trout all along the Swedish coast, but season is coming to an end in several places. Where are you located? That would make it easier to give more specific advice :) As Thomas says, not many patterns are needed, and it's mostly about finding the fish, unless yo...
