Yep. There was an optical illusion.

What looked like a 90 degree twist from some angles was in fact much smaller looked at head on (ie, from the water - assuming you were to get anywhere near water ) ...

Speaking of Obree, although I'm not a massive cycling fan, his book, the Flying Scotsman, is a great read.

I usually check it out on the toilet. Like this

Ha ha! It just irritates me ..... Unless there is an acceptable reason for it ..... which there usually isn't.

Friend request denied

I've just had a friend request on Facebook from someone whose cover photo is of the guy and a fish.

The guy is holding his rod in his teeth.

Should I accept?

I am inclined not to ....

... That if you miss the target, it is your fault not the rod's?

I'm afraid the marketing narrative is not much use except in the broadest terms. You're better off looking at the line profiles and weights when choosing a line. Or, if you can, try them. You can't always rely on the accuracy of the profile diagrams, but they give a much better impression of the lin...

.... and congratulations to James for carrying off pretty much everything else!

By the way, the line's I'm using are MEDs 5 and 6.
