And Paul, get yourself a bunch of 5wt DT lines and some shrinktube, then make different length heads, and attach them to a coated runningline. Great exercise, I have a handful at home in the drawer, all Affta 5 compliant, and they go further than any longbelly on the market, considerably longer! And...

Paul, I'm not forgetting the rod going into counterflex :) I just want to have released the line before that, otherwise it's no good... And Im talking about a shot cast here, not just how much can you carry balls out thing... How long is the head of the line you are using? Not what it said on the bo...

Do you guys reckon between 84-90' of cary of 5wt MED would the optimum for a wining distance cast, regardles if you use 5wt lable rod or 15wt lable rod? Do you think that regardless your skill the gravity and fisics wont be efficient with lets say 100' of cary? Mike Mike, next time you go out, t...

In the meantime, it's easy to duplicate the extreme case: Make a steeple cast but try to cast the front cast a long way. Cheers, Graeme Hi Graeme There's still a dip in the tippath, if it gives a tail, make sure to get the tippath in the clip, and look for the tiny dip, it's not much but it will be...

Effective overhang. It's not just about getting the longest length of line in the air, nobody in their right mind would try to cast with excessive overhang with a shootinghead, same goes for a WF, of the overhang gets too much, the initial loop is started in runningline, that doesn't transfer as goo...

What surprises me is someone claiming to have passed a certificate they haven't! Precisely, imagine getting punished by an organisation while they have the factual examination record, then by another one afterwards, for not going along with that known and demonstrable fiction. International standar...

Hi Graeme
Why only pay as long as you are charging? You could just as well stop paying and still charge and use those credentials...
And I did acknowledge that the majority of exams do not expire, I'm still a certified decorator, but I do not retain any benefits if I leave my union...

Hi Graeme The tippath for that cast is wavy, not convex, try and shot a clip of it, it's very apperantly in high speed, less so in normal speed, it nevertheless shows up. The dip and rise is very early on in the tippath, so also very subtle, this is also the reason why that particular tail shows up ...

Paul, we agree on that, I find it wholeheartedly weird, that as a certified instructor, you have to pay a higher membership fee, period! And I don't think there should be a fixed fee for all, when as you point out, the economy differs alot around this blue planet. I know we've discussed this before ...
