Thanks, Vince, but only Lakeland carries the offset pair and they’re out of stock.

HELP NEEDED
It almost hurts, but I have to retire these scissors now. I have literally tied thousands of flies with them. I wish I could remember how long they lasted, but Anvil scissors are incredibly durable. I know I’ve used these for over 8 years 😳. Every where I found them, they are out of stock and for so...

Re: Any particular line profile for long leaders?
Gary, I agree with Paul here - in the 50-60 cast range, leader design is much more important than line taper. Fishing for bonefish, I assume that you're using some sort of bonefish taper already? They should easily handle a longer leader. However - there's the paradox that larger flies are easier ca...

Re: Temperature effects on Brown trout.
The Danish salmon close for fishing when the temperature reaches 18 degrees C. This is due to the fact that the warmer the water is, the less oxygen it contains and recovery takes longer, obviously with the risc of an increase in mortality. I suspect the effect is lesser on smaller fish as the of co...

Re: Old SA sharkskin chainsaw
I fished them quite a bit when they came out. I didn't notice any wear on guides. I fished them only for trout/grayling - dries/nymphs, so I didn't get any finger-wear either. I really enjoyed fishing them, but for repeated blind-casting wets the noise is too much for me.

I'ver never cast the saltwater versions, but the Infinity-lines are really fine lines.

Re: High Pressure Shots
I know from personal experience that wanting the take too much provides the highest pressure. In some ways, even if money has been spent, vacation booked, flight taken, maybe special tackle bought and more, I find that taking my mind off catching fish, sometimes allows me to catch more fish. I certa...

Re: Fly of the Month - October 2021
Very nice fly, Martyn. I like the finishing touch with the bright green, GloBrite head.
