Thanks for the input.
With a shooting head I never shoot line while fast casting. Maybe that is not the way to go. I suppose in my delivery I will pull the head down because of the greater counterflex.

Re: Lots of overhang
I need to correct myself. I just watched the conversation back and he said “almost a rod length of line sometimes”.
I still won’t be able to make that work.

Lots of overhang
Bernt mentioned, in his conversation with Paul, he shoots a lot of line (around 5m) in the backcast with the Sea Trout Distance.
This means you end up with a lot of overhang. Did anyone experiment with this?
How is it possible to handle so much overhang on the delivery?

Most visible color wool for trout accuracy
I am going to put on some new wool for the next BFCC trout accuracy comp this weekend.

Are you expecting that to be easier than national competitions?

Hi Alan,
I think you only have to pay either £15 for a day or £20 for a year.

Re: light Line Switch Rods
Hi Bass, I find the term switch rod a bit strange. They say it’s because you can switch between double and single handed casting. The switch rods I tried, I would never cast single handed. Other than that, I think light double handed rods seem to have become increasingly popular. There seem to be ar...

Re: WC - overall
For me it would have more value if there is good fishing around. Get a couple of locals involved so we can also have a splendid fishing time. I went to my first WC in Norway, because I could make it a fishing trip with my dad. Personally I am never going to spend a lot of money to only get to a comp...
