What is half a AFFTA Paul?

My gpx is a size heavier than it says on the box... And I don't mind it on a XP :) I do mind the XP though, not fond of noodles....

I'm actually impressed that they have shows that have 100' casting pools! I've only ever been at one that had that, mostly it's about 70 foot :)

Incidentally a well-designed rod should cope with 20 feet as easily as 100. It's competition distances where stiffness matters and it's not as significant as many would believe. I genuinely don't believe that distance casting is driving rod development! Better casting abilities might be. Marketing ...

Honestly, I doubt competition casting has had any impact what so ever on rod design for the last 30 years, way to much a niche part of flyfishing, a tiny tiny niche...

And Vince, that last sentence is riddled with Bollocks :)
