Excluding equipment costs, I think it costs us between 30p and £1 a pint to make. The super hoppy stuff is expensive to make. We use grain rather than malt extracts as well. Dead easy to make, just a bit of outlay on equipment and cleaning products.

The Annan and Nith. There has historically been a spring run but not a huge amount of fish now.

In all seriousness there is good trout, grayling and pike fishing in the area. Salmon and sea trout too but has not been good the past couplef of years.
