Re: Fly casting / lure casting intersection

Thinking about it I have seen the “European style” many years ago at an APGAI meet Given @Bendix’s recent post ‘Demise of flyfishing’ where he mentions the popularity of finesse lure fishing (BFS), the game angler instructor organisations may have missed an opportunity when they dropped that discip...

Haven’t read the airline fuel article, but did hear the one about Charles Windsor running his 1970 Aston Martin on wine from his vineyard https://vnexplorer.net/today-hosts-roast-pompous-privileged-prince-charles-for-his-bizarre-climate-change-confession-about-running-his-vintage-aston-martin-on-che...

Re: Fly casting / lure casting intersection

This guy talks about compressing the rod: My lure casting improved a lot when I improved my fly casting. I think the technique is more similar than most people think. My main focus when casting for distance with any type of rod is: keeping tension and throw fast from the tip of the rod. For me this...

Re: Fly casting / lure casting intersection

@Lasse in your first video, Sage TCX 690 in lure mode, you make a “backcast”: is that how you make your fishing casts?

Thank you, Andrew

Re: Fly casting / lure casting intersection

All my newer rods are 4 piece, and they don't break 😉 I have a theory, and that is the spin rods are two piece is simply the same reason why 25 years ago, all flyrods where two piece. Then people really started travelling and needed packable rods, industry slowly complied... same is now happening w...
