BFCC Casting Event near Glasgow - Sunday Sept 14th

The next BFCC casting event is in Fintry which is located between Glasgow and Stirling (http://www.fintrysportsclub.co.uk/location/)

Confirmed attendees include myself, James, Steve Parkes, Ben, Marc Fauvet, Al Pyke, Ally Bremner, Gary Scott, Hamish, James Hek, Lee, Alberto, Brian Szukala and possibles from Mike Barrio, Craig and Peter McCallum - plus I assume Ben is bringing Kev and Dan and possibly Scott Mackenzie :yeahhh:

We'll start at 9:30am with the usual arrangement of tuition (by Alberto) and James and I will commence the competition with the T120 and T38 events in the morning followed by 5wt, 7wt and ST27 in the afternoon. We can arrange record attempts in between the events during the day and we'll run the accuracy event as well; with maybe an obstacle in front of one or two targets just for fun; or perhaps we should run it to world championship rules, however we would need to make up the targets, say out of rope or something :???:

Refreshments will be available from the Sports Club bar or the pub close by.

Further information is on the BFCC Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Brit ... 289?ref=hl and our website http://www.thebfcc.co.uk/events

Good day out yesterday, thanks to those who turned up and those who made it happen

Weather held out, no rain but no wind either. Thick heavy air and high pressure meant distances were quite low, was like Blenheim cheesecake air until the very end of the day when a bit of breeze picked up but being stuck in a tree line valley it sort of went in circles.

Results from full line events and 27g, these are the only results I have but I'm sure the rest will be up soon.

Better be lucky than good James, don't practice too hard :)

Really pleased with the 55g distance, that's definitely the furthest I've thrown in conditions like that.

Good weekend, and I'm more motivated to maybe think about doing some work on the full line stuff again. Not really cast for that length of time since last winter, bit sore in places today. Still could have been worse, I could have been battered by a 10 year old girl :D

Cheers
