I must say, that in building a team for a world championship in flycasting, the Brits seem to be doing a even worse job than the Danes, that is no small feat guys :D

Looking forward to competiting against you all :pirate:

Just so you don't feel too complacent Lasse, we do have guys who've made the commitment. You're only hearing now from the weak. We're bringing a strong team

Fuck me - the weak who beat you at the CLA in identical conditions on the Friday or the weak who beat you at a shoot-out at your place earlier in the year?

We're going up a level James. We have to. It's up to you if you want to join us. I would love that you did. If you don't want to that's fine.

Cheers, Paul

How many competitors from one country are allowed in the worlds? How many people could be on a GB team?

I think the only time we will actually need to run a British Championship is prior to a World Championships being held in Britain. In six years the most we've had in any event has been three casters! The goal is to take a highly competitive and motivated team of six to wherever the championships are held. I will put some money in to sponsor the team as well as try to find the rest. We're not blessed with casting association or sports association funding, so I have to find it privately.

I seem to hear alot from you :p

If I where you, I'd start running nationals every year, you need more competition practice, much more than you need brute strength... But luckily, I'm not you, so keep at it with lifting weights, and looking ugly :D

Cheers

I hold quite a number of competitions. The problem is that the level is not high enough. Also I need to bring them into line with the World Championships. The UK is considerably behind Norway and Sweden. That's not competition practise but training and ability IMO. I threw well in the 5 finals, but it wasn't enough. What we need is a strong team, not numbers. I'd like to bring them to Norway or Sweden next year.

Cheers, Paul
