We were hoping to host it, but 2016 is going to be impossible for us. Planning on 2018. Denmark is a possibility for next year. But they're trying to convince Sweden! Hopefully we'll know soon!

2016 should happen Jacko. Just being decided where. Everyone is training for it and has been for the last 12 months.

Hi Paul.
:ninja: It was you in 2012 telling me that Germany could not do it in 2014 cause the UK would do it. Same in 2014 after the Norwegian picked it up again. Too late for me to pick it up now, sorry. I would need more than a year ahead to get a team and then train it on judging + all the other organisation!
Cheers

I've never actually said we would do it, only try. Our efforts have fallen through so far, but we are still trying. One of our stumbling blocks is money. We don't have a government or sports association to back us and so we need other sources of funding. I can understand it can take you more than a year. It's going to take us six probably.

Cheers, Paul

Incidentally the Norwegiens are offering to send their judges. So that's not a problem.

Who would pay the travel coasts?
Besides that - safety for the eqipment is the second big deal (in Germany). No way all participants could just lay down their tackle anywhere among the fields. We would need a panic room among the fields for all the tackle. :)

I don't know. I emailed you yesterday. Let's have an email conversation with Lasse, Stefan and Thorgeir.

I think I may find sponsors to give serious help on the financial side. Probably Germany would have many more visitors. I easily could think for 500+ people, if held near Hamburg for example.
But then again, the more visitors the more safety stuff we would need. That seems pretty easy in Norway: Not much visitors, held on an island and most people don't know anything about crime. :)
So all in all we need:
a) judgement staff
b) safety staff
c) organizing team
d) sponsors
e) venue (near a big city)
f) a programme besides the pure fly casting in order to make it more attractive for visitors and therefore make it more attractive for sponsors
g) all the metal :p

And the worst point: I wouldn't want to participate, if I am the leading organizer. :(
