WC Accuracy Rules

Hi Lasse, I was also told to start with the line on the reel too. I'm quite happy to strip line while false casting because it avoids ticks/the line doing weird stuff and getting wrapped around the tip etc.

Cheers, Paul

Hi John

I was told to get the line on the reel before doing anything else, this was before time started.

Paul, I have no problem either, it was just that I was saving time from warming up, and carried the line in appropriate loops, you know, some actually fish with more line out and can handle it :p

Cheers
Lasse

Thanks Lasse, you are correct about that omission, sounds to me like a rule statement is needed.

Technically a previous competitor could have measured the longest target and shared the line length with you (me) - so I understand the rule!

Then write it into the rules, and don't spring it on a competitor, when on the platform :p
Besides, thats an easy cheat even with havibg to start with the line on the reel....

if it's anything that involves a committee then don't expect it to be solved or make sense. :p

Read the rules (maybe throughly for the first time :) It seems that ticking in the backcast should also be counted as zero, if rules are taken literally.
If the fly, leader or line strikes the surface while false casting, the cast is regarded invalid (0 points), and the caster must continue to the next target.

That refers to water in front Tapani. If that needs clarifying it can be done through associations or at the WCs, IMHO it does not need any additional text.

John

PS I reckon Thorgier Gustavsen, Kenji Okamoto, Allan Lahi and myself can do the job with rules expeditiously. If anyone has a suggestion for same, let me know.

It's unlikely that anyone there would tick on the backcast but it's not uncommon to lay the line down behind while sorting out a tangle.

I'm an expert at ticking by the way.
