Swedish casting federation would be my best guess, but I doubt they have a final date yet, could be wrong though

I'm competing poorly in Sweden next weekend, I'll ask too...

Cheers

Flycasting, so simple that instructors need to make it complicated since 1685

As far as I can find out they haven’t determined a date yet :( :( :( I think when a host nation is selected then a date should be announced at the time! Fishing lodges are booked two years in advance. What are we supposed to do? Not work at all in 2020?!!

Cheers, Paul

Didn't know you worked?

As far as I have heard, they are trying to have it together with the ICSF casting world championships, and they are looking to build ponds...

Sounds like you asked for growth, and its happening but at the expense of knowing well in advance :D

Cheers

If it's being run in conjunction with the ICSF Castingsport WC's then expect the entry fees (inc hotel etc.) to be considerably more than you paid this year.

I actually ran that question via Thorgeir and he didn’t expect a fee increase. Unfortunately if it is significant it will see less competitors. I budget around 1.5K GBP for this event on a tight budget. Around 2.5 to 3K with my wife flying and competing. It’s getting to the point where it needs sponsorship but it’s tough to get sponsorship if the event is kept small.

That’s why I started a question recently about opening up the numbers. Flying from Malaysia means that I have to build a summer trip around the schedule, maybe guide or host in Russia etc.

Cheers, Paul
