Hywell doesn’t need a microphone. That would be another saving right there.
It's an exploration; bring a flyrod.

Money was used to purchase a battery powered outdoor PA system which came with wireless microphones for both Mark and Colin, however when I tested it out before the competition, the sound of amplified wind noise would have proved more of a distraction and annoyance than an enhancement, so it was decided to not to be used.

you can overcome a lot of wind noise from microphones by using some thing like this: http://en.rode.com/accessories/deadcat

Thank you

What also is to be realised is that due to numbers in attendance there would have had to be two lots of PA systems, two announcers etc, as we had to run dual events due to time constraints. By the time this came to light there was no time to put this right.

Thought it was prudent to run a three day Championships, when in fact three days was very nearly not enough.....

Has anyone thought about the number of stewards, judges, helpers etc ?

There is more to an event than just the competitors.
