Yes it’s a club about 1hr from me. Will be very interesting indeed. The lads from KL will drive up for the weekend and Ashly will come across too. On Sat we have a full day casting with competitions and training. On Sunday we will go fishing and I’ll show French Nymphing (not that I know very much aboiut this, but more than anyone else here!).
I’m hoping we get some keen casters and we shall see what happens. They’ve initiated the meet so this is excellent. And it’s very close for me. I’ll post the results when I have them.
Cheers, Paul

I’m not sure. They have s couple of small river species that they fly fish for in this region.

You guys keep casting and I keep watching for now.
Had a first physio apointment about my forarm muscle pain-I am aparently complicated case, but fixable with exercises.
For now I will slam as much carp as possible and do some litght distance exercises.
Back to full potential soon.
Cheers

Ciao
The set up looks good...
Exited about the hot air helping with longer line travel I went for a cast.
Not a good session
0 wind and the sun burning my brain out. After few casts sweat was an big issue coming in to my eyes and burning them- no focus at all.
Need to find new more shady place.
Thing learned today-
1) trying to set my eyes for the Sun and deal with sweat=no focus on casting
2) 1 thing at the time, I will separate my training for one event at the time and give 100% to it. No poit of trying to seat on too many chairs at the time- will end up with my arse on the grass.
Set up looks goood though
Cheers
Mike

The sun is a big problem here too. It means we can’t do full days with lots of practise. We try to stand in the shade as much as possible
That’s why I’m keep to get my houseboat and set up some floodlights!

It is indeed.
Last time I went 4.30am and had a good session with 2 casts of 130' and 120 was a bad cast.
6am it was all over- Welcome to Australia.
Now when I have time I am on the lake by 4am chasing carp- casting is on the secend plan.
Anyway Im still in the game...

For some results today from a bunch of guys actually quite local to me. This was the first time with such comps for them. A couple of excellent potentials here. We did sea trout, trout and Accuracy. The first set of accuracy was over sand/pebbles. The fly couldn’t be sighted. The second page was over water with much better results.
