When I think about it I’m sure you need something like 49m of pipe to make a set of four WC spec rings, so maybe you had to take some shortcuts? ;)

We had a wooden quarter of a circle radius template which we fixed to the centre bolt and ensured the pipe was touching at all times as we worked our way round the frame when screwing the pipe down.

Cheers

We shall see. So long as they float I think they’ll be perfect. I don’t think there were any twists left but if so I can untwist them (not nailed but zip tied). I’m not going to float them tomorrow however :p That will have to wait to next weekend. I’m still not sure if we are competing over water or grass there. I’m hoping water!

Cheers, Paul

Good idea re the radius! I attached one end. Pulled the loop to the other and measured half way, attached that and then the cross bar in the same way. Obviously I narked up the cross before hand.

And yes I bought two boxes of pipe. I have some left for plumbing :)

You may need also couple of kilos of weights for each to sink them into the surface if you find they float too high (they WILL float :))

Enjoy mate

Quite possibly! I think the frame is a hardwood. Certainly it’s not pine. I’m not sure how much difference that will make. I’ll take them to the lake this week!

They are round and float. The river distorts them slightly and I had to chase after one that broke free!

River distorts them slightly :D

Looks good otherwise! But you definetly want to weigh them down more :D
