I like to cast with as much speed as my body can generate. At my age that is not much but irrespective, I think we can learn a lot from other throwing sports with our delivery. Balance is the most important thing in the false cast ( balance of both body and loop ) but for the delivery, I think we should generate as much power and therefore speed as possible. Like all 5 distance casting events, in my view, the major challenge is transitioning from a smooth stroke using the arm to a powerful stroke using the body.

Maybe one day Paul, for now I get to cast with Jacko on a regular basis. I don't beat him often but when I do it's like I've won a world championship haha.
