Now let me ask you a very simple question (which no doubt you'll avoid) - what's the driver for the string lifting in this example? Is it pixies or the fact I've thrown the fucking nut
James,
I would say it comes from the dp/dt momentum change of the nut. The nut would go faster if it was not pulling the string.

So ultimately the driver for the string pulling straight is the fact that the nut possesses momentum which it loses?

So now, what lifts Anna Hedman's line into the air from where it was sat on the ground?

James,
The same thing. The dp/dt momentum change of line ahead of it.

It’s fly leg momentum IMHO

So when I said the overiding reason for loop morph was fly-leg momentum, your objection was what exactly?

Hi Lasse

Do you know of footage showing small to big morphing? I would love to analyse that.

All the best,
Dirk
Hi Dirk

Like James mentions, Bernd's dangly Bits, the dangle that comes through low and then goes up. That morphs the loop front open. Not as spectacular as the bouncing bomb in the extreme 170 technique, but it morphs none the less 😊
I'll have a look, there's other versions too, will have a look around!

Cheers
Lasse

Thanks, Lasse!

Have you ever seen morphing where the leading curve of the loop grows bigger?

If your last question is for me James, I think I gave the same answer when the discussion on that video took place.

You opened my eyes :p
I might give it a go this weekend. If I can arrange it I might even film it.
