Ok, and that would be in a continous loaded cast?

I'd rather assume the caster moved the butt of the rod in sharp turns, and that's why there would be twists below the reel :)

At last Paul I think I understand . It's the same principle involved in swinging the line in a compleet circle around the rod tip a few times . Twists will only be trapped between the tip and hand.Is it bad casting though.?

No I don't think it's bad casting because it's normal with some casts. I just hit it to the reel from time to time to get rid of it.

How does the rest of your casting look? :cool:
Not too sexy but i'm going to work on it. Think I will lay an old straightened line on ground and spray paint one side. should show up where twists are forming and gathering.I sure know how to make them.
