:yeahhh:

 Hellloooo

Finaly I will be on the water and the shity land based fly fishing days are past.

I decided on Jackson Cuda 14. ( thanks Graeme for your time and advice on my questions regarding Hobie PA)

Those pictures shows it before I'll put my hands on it( im picking it up on the 22 of Jan) its 2013 model and the man Im buying it from put a lot of detail(which I like) to it. He bought it early 2014 as he was diagnosed with some sicknes and out from work for 4months. Got the kayak as a project to keep his head out of the health problems and it only seen water of 5h total.
Main  concern was stripping line and line catching on some deck parts. US and Aussie kayak fly fishos  say the same thing about the wet towel over the deck or knees, so I very convince it will work, and worry to much.
People raving about Hobie Pro Angler 12/14 and I agree as Hobie is an awsome machine with leg propoltion( hands free for fly casting), but even there line can catch on bits and peaces, and unfortuneatly it wont fit in my style of living.
My wife will be happy as I told her that paddling will keep me fit ( that was big yes from her to me to purchase the yak)

On Monday the 23 I'll try to shoot some videos about casting from it. so this will be very exiting.
It's all about to happen.
 That's for now
Cheers
Mike

That looks great Mike. You're gonna love getting out there.

You won't need a towel. You'll be able to strip line between your legs onto that deck.

You will want to pick up a sea anchor (AKA drogue). Hook that onto your anchor trolley and you'll be able to drift at a nice casting angle to the wind.

(Give me a yell when you want to talk about shorter rods ... ;) )

Cheers,
Graeme

...but first Bribie Island for testing.
My wife will be recording, and do casting and coments. I have some shity 9wt( my mate bought me for christams on ebay for $1), so I'll go hard and even if I fell of and break the rod it will be a learning lesson of what not to do on this yak. If all goes well thats even better.
Guys you should see my car with roof racks ready for this kayak. It looks cool even without the boat, so Im really looking forward to have it on.

I think I will continue with my kayak adventures on this thread of GAME CHANGER

Congrats on the new ride... you are going to love it!

Paddling and flycasting present some challenges but there are advantages that outweigh them IMHO... been doing it for over 50 years. Still in a canoe however.

"It's an adventure" is on that Sexyloops decal? If so, I think it would be appropriate on my canoes too!

Flycasting, so simple that instructors need to make it complicated since 1685

Got a Q++ at casting school, wearing shorts ;)
