I had the same idea though with 0.60 nylon since I don't have any braid at the moment. I'll give it a try anyway.

It’s not quite what I had in mind to be honest. I had imagined something a lot sexier and looking less like a 6yr old had tied it. :D

That’s pretty damned good. What’s the hook? My original intention was to have the hook mounted and replaceable like one of Matt’s string leaches. Maybe with a sheep girl ring at the other end.

Cheers, Paul

It's the Prologic XC3. I was thinking of trying to make one with a hook in the tail as this and one at the thorax and having a ring in the nose for easy tying on and off. But I am not sure about what knots to use for the braid to the hooks. On the one above it's the Eugene bend to the hook and a perfection loop. I Will make lighter wings as well.

Second try! I have used 2 Prologic XC3 hooks one in the back and one in front. They are connected with 0.30 mm braid through a Eugene bend on the back hook and then a nail knot and then wound up to the eye and finally knotted with a Eugene bend in the eye on the front hook. Then another piece of braid to the sheep girl ring. For wings I use four strands out of hollow braid dyneema. And lots of super glue and uv resin for eyes and to stiffen the wings closest to the thorax.

I must say that I am very pleased with the outcome. It should be the right size according to the scale to a lighter as on Flavios photos.
