just love that,one of my friends dressed me some classic speys in return for some blind eye hooks that were doing nothing in my stash,
they cheer me up when I look at them and they do get the odd swing on their home river .

I inherited a few flies from my great grandfather and a split cane DHD that I’ve never dared use 
I’m sure it’s partly this and an encyclopaedia of fishing that had a page of mysterious flies, like Thunder and Lightning, that got me into fly fishing.
If I was a Salmon Fly Fisher - one day maybe! - then I would definitely be fishing these classic flies. Can you image how my Thunder and Lightning would look? It would be incredible!
