last bit has been a deep freeze here, so stocking up the fly boxes with the

Combo-Trude great for catching Leaches, Poly-wogs, Snails, and grasshoppers when they do a spinner fall.

Everybody has to believe in something and I believe in Fly fishing and Fly tying and believe I will.
As in the army I have never had a bad day fly fishing, some damn uncomfortable days but never a bad one.

that is right, but once you in it you can wade carefully along a bank. Almost shit my pants and freezed when walking along the bank (outside) of the river and repeat to my self WATCH THE SNAKES, WATCH THE SNAKES, so I was watching down under my feet and there it was long brown fucker in the middle of the path. I louldy steped back and he took off.
In this country safety first either fancy kayak ffishing, or simple trout ffishing.
cheers

Hi John, funny thing is they don't. In Russia they lay up in exactly the same water, only there their camouflage works. Same in Alberta. Fishing NZ has proved really useful for reading these waters for me.

Cheers, Paul

Paul I have never seen so many good trout lying in inches of water, especially in lakes. You just don't see that in Ireland at any rate. This is one of the better ones , right in the shallows.
