Strong hooks small flies

I bought some new hooks yesterday and did a little pull test of them. This time I didn't pull to total failure but only until they began to straighten without the hook of the scales coming off so it could be that they are stronger still. I filmed the scale so that I could get the highest reading without problem.

This is the result:
Kamasan B775 Carp specialist #8:
11,12 kg
Price €3.30/10 hooks

Prologic Hoox XC3 coated carp hooks #8:16,53 kg
Price €5.60/10 hooks

Interesting to note is that Prologic XC3 feels remarkably light and is coated so it's matte which might be good or bad, I don't know. It reduces reflection anyway which may be positive.

At my shop these were the smallest. But I'll investigate a bit.

Piffen, how did you make the measurements? Around the bend? That’s remarkable. Cheers, Paul

I test them by tying a perfection loop in a Stroft gtm 0,60 mm/28 kg. I tie on the hook and leave a long tag end for me to hold in to prevent the hook from flying everywhere. I hang it in a door handle and put my scales hook in the hook bend and pull as much as i dare. I even quit pulling before complete failure. Heres the videos of it. Of course I use safetyglasses!

I must say that I am quite amazed about the result, especially the of the Prologic XC3
