Hi again,

Regarding the Meridian, I have read that George Anderson ( from Yellowstone angler) was involved in the design and that he kept asking for Bartschi for more stiffness in the butt. It would be interesting to try one of those earlier versions. :)

Cheers Thomas

That is George's version of the history, I am aware of Jim's one :)

Lasse

George and James are nice people anyway, I discuss with them from time to time, the Meridian story is again a problem of interpretation of events :D

I suspect a « big heel » in that case, as we use to say over here.
I understand that participating to a selection within prototypes makes you proud, I would feel honored.

I used Scott STS rods at the end of the 90s. I had them in 8,9,10 and 11. They were standard equipment for fishing in the Florida Keys, together with Tibor reels.
I even built a couple of them myself.

I lost them after a trip to the Seychelles when they did not appear on the luggage band.

They were 3 piece rods and I then changed to 4 piece Orvis T3.
I really liked them and caught all sorts of wonderful fish with them.

Jan Kristensen was always a big fan and photographed the front cover for their catalogue for many years. He probably still does even though he has moved to Australia.
