You may be right about the bend possible with that rod, I'm not checking.

Do you have the line database going? I've an odd one here, the line is a #6 and weighs as a #6, maybe a fraction below the target weight. But head is 1.5m shorter than the maker says it should be.

Cool, never succeded, and I have heavier lines than most
Broken rods while casting have almost always been down to faulty rods, either by design or mishaps, and they've all been with lines suggested for the rods.

Yep of course and I will of course spell colour correctly

The CCS database still exists. I just need to import it or get someone to do it. I also need to clean up both of the new databases. Both of which can be done in one day.

Tomorrow I buy callipers. Flavio is visiting for the next three weeks. He is a physicist so that’s going to help! I might start by measuring 5 flylines we can use a test lines.

Like Lars points out, coins are usually good for checking a scale.

I'd suggest measuring stretched lines, had a chat with Thomas Bergreen long ago, and he mentioned that measuring the MED way too short, untill he stretched it, and it suddenly was the stated 120 feet...

Glad to hear the ccs is still there, looking forward to it being up again

Haven't been out and doing a speed test to targets, will see if I manage over the weekend...
