Goretex Camo or similar

Post by Paul Arden »

Hi guys,

Does anyone have any goretex Camo from something that is fucked. Ie leaky waders, old bag with socks in it or a fight with a herd of sheep?

I'd like to make a hat.

Cheers,
Paul

And talking of which, does anyone know how to actually make a hat? I think a hat the size of a small umbrella would be perfect. :)

No camo waders, but got several leaky ones I'd be happy to send you :D

Search youtube, I'm dead sure there will be a tutorial on how to make a hat :p try and search for "sydvest" that's the type the old fishermen used at sea in rough weather here ;)

I was thinking cross between pirate and a sombrero, camouflaged with plenty of accessories. If it's raining I'd like to stay reasonably dry.

If you give up making a hat, I am pretty sure you can get a camo Seattle Sombrero from Outdoor research.

I have something similar which gave me the idea that I should make something better. More shady and weight I think. The old hat I used to have in my mid 20s which is now at the bottom of Lake Monowai, only bigger, is the shape I have in mind.
