Does anyone know of good treatment for leech bites? I remove them with salt, but even so the last two have left holes in my skin. I don't get bitten very often, but going for a dump in the rainforest in the Wet Season is not without risk.
Thanks,
Paul

Leech Bites
HI Paul
It's rare for me to have salt handy when I get one so it's usually slide the fingernail sideways and flick the bugger back into the scrub. Antiseptics of choice are betadine liquid, betadine ointment and tea tree oil in about that order. Covering or not covering the wound depends on size and location.
Cheers
