I've been advised I need proper attire to fish in some of the waters I've booked in Scotland. I seldom wear ties or shirts with buttons for that matter, unless its a fishing shirt. Perhaps some of you guys could post up some pictures of proper attire for Scottish Salmon fishing, clearly the clothes make the man. I can see that I'll need to keep the 700 grain Skagit in the boot until I've been assigned my water.

I never go Salmon fishing without a Kilt, Rich. Hunting MacGregor. The Kilt won't fit in my waders, so if the water is really cold I like to give my nether regions a liberal coating of goose fat. Actually, I like to do that even if I'm not fishing, but that's another story. A stout pair of hob-nailed leather brogues protect the feet.
Wear what you like, mate. Its never been an issue anywhere I've fished.

Rich,
I would go with athe Kilt, cowboy boots with felt and a trucker hat just to confuse them and a cigar must be smoked at all times, or at least chewed. You may want to bring your manservant and other "help" depending where you have booked.

You know that fella reminds me of someone..... took a minute for the penny to drop.... with those '70s type glasses he looks a wee bit like Richard Harris - gone wrong
That pink outfit is also just wrong, on sooooo many levels

I don't know how practical his outfits are for fishing but i think Steve looks fantastic in those clothes. If it reflects yourself and isn't any sort of facing or disguise, i think you can rock most any outfit anywhere.
Have you watched his TEDx talk from Lausanne
"What goes around, comes around"? It's well worth it!
