I've never heard of anything cheap in Norway let alone alkohol. I gather it is moonshine, Skogsstiernen? ;-)

Kaffekask. I mean no disrespect but I have heard that norwegians make weak coffee? I have only had kokkaffe at Mandalen (Lyngfjord) and it was really weak but I thought that it may have been that the Sami people prefer it that way. Swedish recipy for Kaffekask is to put a coin in a cup and pour coffee until it can't be seen and then pour in moonshine until you see it again....

Proper «kokekaffe» is not weak. And the recepie for karsk is the same on the Norwegian side of the border ;-)

Great! It's actually legal in Hungary for home consumption (well 80 litres per roof per year but no one counts). What's it made from? Has the taste been perfected or it just for the kick?
