I was very sorry to hear from Tony that Ian Hockley passed away this morning. I have fond memories teaching with Ian. A lovely man. We fished together once or twice as well. I'll raise a toast to Ian tonight.

Cheers, Paul

I am so sorry to hear about Ian, he was a true gentleman. He was fundamental in keeping the casting competitions at the Game Fair going and getting the BFCC involved in running them. He'll be sorely missed. Tracy

Ian Hockley my fishing mate for many years, a truly nice man, a thinking fisherman. There was no side to Ian he fished, as he lived with a totally open mind.

I couldn’t have put it any better Tony, apart from adding that he made a mean bacon sandwich. Great bloke, I’ll miss him.
