Now I was thinking that for the next Hot Torpedo competition that we do something like this. What do you think? Too niche and photos/story better. Or would you like to have a go? Technically last comp it was open for whatever you fancy.

I’m very interested to know your thoughts.

Nice video. I am not sure if I would be able to make one. I have mislaid my gopro either somewhere in my home or out in the nature somwhere. I can't find it anyway... Was it your first Snakehead in the boat this season? It was a very beautiful fish!!

Yep - the last month was very slow. Sometimes for three days I wouldn’t see a single fish. But it’s starting to happen now. Not lots of fish around. But yesterday three follows. Today set on two. And it’s just going to get better and better. I think it will explode next week.

They’ve started to appear east of Ant Island. That’s where they first appear. I’m really looking forward to seeing a lot of fish now. I think in two weeks this place will be firing.

I should have had other fish recently but my shots were off the mark. Today was the best I’ve fished so far this year. It’s so important to put that first shot in.

I’m digging a new line I have. It’s a prototype SA line that they will release this year. An Infinty Salt. It’s a 9.5 (I wanted to go under with the HT10 for speed, so not the 10.5). It does this sort of fishing very well. It might be a bit thin in the running line for the fighting here - the second fish got away from me in fact and snagged me (but I got it back out of course). Maybe I need to start wearing stripping fingers on the line hand as well!

And really good to get the action on the go pro. Ashly gave it to me as a birthday present. I just knew it would open filming fishing shots again. I really need to get this stuff on video. It’s just so electric. For me anyway

Thanks mate. I look forward to seeing you over here eventually!! I would love to find a way of showing the fish eat the fly. Maybe when I have company we can run a second camera in the boat zoomed in. Gourami eats are just unreal - so we have that to look forward to!
