Hey Paul

It may be me but trying to hypertext link words like this is a pain.

I'm clicking on the URL button, and then doing this:

"[url=http://www.lineslinger.com/]like this[/url]"

I need to type in the = sign and then paste the URL. It'll take me about 10mins to work out where I put the = every time I do it (technically challenged smilie). I'm sure it was easier on the old board?

Yes I see what you mean Will. It doesn't allow you to highlight words and then make them a link. I'll have a look and see if there's a Modification for this.

It will pick out the link if you simply type in the web address with or without the http://

That's only when copy and pasted in the reply mode, if you hit the quote button right away on the board, you get the authors name right on top, just like on the old board. I don't think it's possible to do so that you automaticly get the authors name when you copu/paste from another post. Then it is much more to do with board ethics, and getting the users to actually do it. I can understand your point, but I think it will be very hard to get peole to change habit when it comes to that
