Hi Bernd,
Malik told me, only a long leader turns around, if it's 500 cm or longer.
If the leader is about 270 cm or shorter, it's possible to curve a part of the line additionally.
Cheers,
Thomas E.

"svirgolato" - curve to the right
Hi Thomas,
Alex and I have made a video of me casting the Svirolato with the MPR rod. I now understand the cast in detail. It simply is a horizontal tailing loop caused by an early sudden burst of force application (within the first part of the stroke).
I can cast the same in vertical now. All it is then is a well pronounced tailing loop.
Will upload the video within the next days.
Best
Bernd
p.s.: Am pretty sure the TLT experts already knew this anyway.

The first cast is always the best cast.

Yes, a tailing loop !
"svirgolato" or "twist cast."
It's not necessary to twist the hand, I don't do that.
This report fits the theme :

Hi Guys !
Happy to see your interest.
Bernd, what do you mean by "I can cast the same in vertical now" - are you speaking about the position of the rod or about a vertical crossing loop (vertical crossing loop, with the fly kissing the water, making a jump and landing again, like a jumping sedge, which is a great fun to do, - just to play with loop control - even if the use in fishing is quite difficult ) ?
Thomas : we agree, you can do it with a wrist rotation (counterclockwise) but also without, just playing with the tip of the rod.. Just for the fun (and because the result is veeeeery interesting) did you try to do it with a clockwise rotation of the wrist ?
Sorry for your leaders , Best regards
Malik
PS : The svirgolato is a useful and spectacular cast, but not a difficult cast, the trick takes place at the moment of the MPA.

Hi Malik,
clockwise rotation of the wrist ?
I'll try it.
The TLT- "fly first" cast is also nice !
Cheers,
Thomas E.
